Lunch Bunch
Every other Thursday, a group of staff provides lunch. I look forward to this time, not only for the good food, but also for the company. Most days, I sit at my desk and eat. I have barely 30 minutes, so walking down to the lounge and back just isn't worth it. Except on lunch bunch days. As a coach, relationships are vital. I find I make so many connections with people on lunch bunch days in the lounge. I usually end up with one or two coaching meetings scheduled out of lunch bunch. I think the combination of good food and having someone cook for you bring out a happiness in people that is sometimes lost in the hustle and bustle that has become education today. So here's to lunch bunch! Now I must wait another two weeks.
This is a wonderful opportunity to build relationships! What a great idea.
ReplyDeleteI wish there was a way to do this at our school. The climate of the school has become so hectic that people don't take the time to sit together. It really does help to take the few minutes we have and connect. I'm so glad your school has found a way to do this!
