Collaboration
Our school district worked with another district to get a grant to expand instructional coaching. It is not much, but it is a start to try and grow coaching in our two districts. We spent yesterday visiting with the other coaches, sharing how we have each been using coaching, and brainstorming ways to use our grant money for coaching next year. The grant is tied to educator effectiveness, but we all agree that we want to really expand instructional coaching in general. It was really great to network, develop a plan and then shadow the literacy coordinator for that district as she lead a couple team meetings.
Collaboration on any level is awesome! Also welcome to SOL!
