Celebrations
My oldest had her swim club banquet last night. It is always neat to see how she interacts with the other kids on the team. She initially chose to sit with her friends and not us. I wonder how I feel about it. Is it OK that she chose that? Why did she not want to sit with us? Is this a glimpse of our life to come?
My daughter is very tiny. She had to swim in the 9-10 year old age group this year, but she is about the size of most 7 year olds. She made huge strides and was the only other legal breastroker in her age group, which allowed her to be on the medley relay. BIG DEAL for her! I loved watching her swim and sad it was over. The one last celebration was fun and I look forward to watching her grow even more this summer as she wants to do summer swim club.
