I think people tend to get this vision of what differentiation should "look like", but in reality we meet individual needs in ways that may not always be visible. We might have the same expectations for students but realizing that each student is at a different point in his/her learning continuum and giving him or her the love and support move forward wherever s/he is is the first step in differentiating.
